The CITA organizes and carries out multidisciplinary research projects focused on the sustainable use of water resources and the sustainable nature of the interaction between humanity and the environment. This project at UTEC is part of a larger one between NASA and the International Potato Center and aims to evaluate the best candidate for future agriculture of human colonies on planets outside of Earth, as well as the technology that may be used in these systems that can help produce crops in these areas.
